Seaquarium

The boarfish lives on soft or rocky bottoms in the Mediterranean and Northeast Atlantic (up to 700 meters deep). Recognizable by its laterally compressed body and pointed snout, it can quickly extend its mouth forward to capture small prey.

The blacktip reef shark is viviparous and gestation lasts about a year. The litter varies from 2 to 4 juveniles, measuring about 40 centimeters. After giving birth, the female abandons it juveniles. If disturbed, this small sized shark, may attack. It gets into the Mediterranean more and more often via the Suez Canal.

The sandbar shark is a predator found in temperate and tropical waters of various oceans. It is characterized by its dark-colored pectoral fins and gray-blue coloration on the back. Although considered potentially dangerous to humans, attacks remain rare. This shark feeds on a variety of prey, including fish and cephalopods, and is found at depths ranging from the surface to about 100 meters.

The bicolor angelfish is a tropical fish found throughout much of the Indo-Pacific region. It is easily recognizable by its bicolor pattern, bright yellow on top, followed by blue. This omnivore frequents lagoons and protected reef slopes, either as a pair or in small scattered groups.

The coral beauty angelfish is always born female. As they grow, individuals change their sex to become male, a phenomenon known as protogynous sequential hermaphroditism. The difference between male and female is therefore visible. The adult male is larger and has an anal fin ending in a point.

Colored in fluorescent yellow, this angelfish has earned the nickname 'lemon angelfish.' All individuals are born female, and some undergo a gender change during growth. These fish, well-known among aquarium enthusiasts, are found in the western Pacific Ocean, in coral-rich tropical waters.

This fish is very shy and it is easy to approach it when diving. it eyes are hidden by transverse black lines. It has a black eyespot on the dorsal fin, which attracts the attention of predators to parts of its body where there are no vital organs.

The raccoon butterflyfish (Chaetodon lunula) is a common reef fish in the Indo-Pacific. Yellow and brown in color, it feeds on nudibranchs, algae, and corals.

The eyes of this fish are masked by a colored band, and it has an eyespot at the back of its body that attracts predators to a part of the body without vital organs. It is popular among aquarists, but it requires prey of a suitable size, preferably live.

The Mediterranean damselfish is a saltwater fish widely found in the Mediterranean Sea and the eastern Atlantic Ocean. In spring, males defend a spawning area and fan the eggs until they hatch. Juveniles are bright blue and live in small groups.

The blue-green Chromis is a fish that lives in large schools above dense coral areas. At the slightest alarm, this swift fish takes refuge in the colonies of branching corals. The Blue-green Chromis is common throughout the Indo-Pacific region.

The goldtail damselfish is a tropical fish native to the Indian Ocean and the southern tropical zone of the Pacific Ocean. Like many of its kind, this species lives in small aggregations among the branches of "stag horn" corals.
